TopPop
TopPop was a Dutch music program that aired weekly from September 22nd 1970 to June 27th 1988. It was hosted by Ad Visser and the main approach of this television show was to let artists do a mimed performance of their latest hit. The Runaways appeared in this program at the end of November during the European “School Days” tour with their current single School Days.
These TopPop performances were usually filmed in television studios in Hilversum, The Netherlands. However, not all artists were able to come to Hilversum, so occasionally, the camera crew met the band at another location. The actual location where The Runaways' performance was filmed remains unknown, as they were touring Scandinavia at that time. Their first stop in the Netherlands during the tour was on November 29th for the Amsterdam concert, and that was after the original broadcast of this performance.
