My name is Lukáš Bosík, and I was born in Czechoslovakia (now the Slovak Republic) in 1990. I have never had a chance to attend any of The Runaways' concerts or meet any of the band members in my life. But I fell in love with their music, and about a decade ago I started to collect The Runaways memorabilia.
History of this project:
Although this website is relatively new, the whole idea about documenting The Runaways' tour history came to me sometime in 2012. I was always passionate about live performances in general, and when I found that there was so little information available about The Runaways' concerts, I decided to do something with that and started my own research.
At the beginning, there was a list of some concerts floating around the Internet, which was full of incorrect information and missing dates, but it was a good start point. When I tried to search for more details about individual performances, I found that a lot more concerts actually happened. I was lucky to get in touch with many fans who attended some of these shows, or even with other collectors. I have managed to get copies of several live recordings and a lot of original tour memorabilia in my hands.
So why did it take me so long to finish this project? Actually, this project is still not finished yet and maybe never will because a lot of information about The Runaways' concerts has been lost or remains hidden under the dust. During the past decade, I have done my best to find as much information as possible, but still, there are plenty of mysteries that need to be solved...
