Live recordings:
This section is dedicated to The Runaways live recordings and studio sessions. We are lucky to have recordings from nearly
every tour and even from the early days. Some of these recordings were recorded professionally, but most of them were
recorded by fans in the audience, so their quality may not always be the best. But they are still worth listening to, mainly
for historical reasons...
Documented recordings:
Only a small amount of live recordings have been found and documented. The list below is definitely not complete, as nearly
every year a new recording pops up somewhere, and there are many other recordings that have been confirmed to exist but are
not in circulation yet. These recordings are all that I was able to find and get a copy of.
Grading recordings:
Please note that the sound/picture quality grading is based on my subjective opinion, and it may not correspond with the
opinions of other collectors. My copies of these recordings can be sourced from different generation tapes and can vary in
length or quality compared to the other copies available in the collector's circles.

Mysterious recordings:
There are several recordings in circulation of which no information is known. So far, it has not been possible to find out the
date or venue, or even their origin. If you have any information on any of these recordings, please contact me.

Description:
This recording was floating around the community for decades, and every time I saw it listed in some trading list, it was dated to
a different concert. Some collectors had it listed as Whisky A Go Go - August 25th, 1975, but no evidence of such a concert
has been found yet. Some other collectors have been trading this recording labeled as the famous first-ever Runaways performance
that happened at Phast Phreddie's parents' house on August 12th, 1975.
The recording is surely from the Micki Steele era of the band (August - October 1975), but the exact date or venue remain
unknown.
It's a pretty decent audience recording, although it's incomplete. There are cuts between all songs, and the first few
seconds of Wild Thing are missing.

Description:
Another unidentified recording from the Micki Steele era of the band (August - October 1975) that came to me along with the
Whisky A Go Go recording from September 28th, 1975. The sound quality is very similar to the “Whisky recording”, so there is a
possibility that both recordings were recorded by the same person and maybe at the same venue.
The recording captures an incomplete concert, as the beginning of the show is missing, and there is also a cut at the end of
Thunder.

- Queens Of Noise
- California Paradise
Description:
The first two opening songs from an unidentified audience recording were added to the end of another European recording during the
editing/transferring process. These two songs are in great sound quality, and they are just a snippet of the original, more
complete recording, which is surely in circulation among collectors.
Both songs are sung by Joan, so this recording is definitely from the Waitin' For The Night era. Before the band
entered the stage, the girls were introduced with the following words: “Ladies and gentlemen, without any further delay,
let's welcome just (?) on a world tour... Just completed their third album... The queens of noise! The Runaways!”. This
introduction and the fact that these two songs opened shows only on the first US concerts promoting the Waitin' For The
Night album indicate that it's a recording from one of the August 1977 concerts in California, USA. Can anybody shed some
light on this?

Description:
Short snippets of an amateur 8 mm footage filmed during the European “School Days” tour in 1977 can be seen in the Edgeplay
- A Film About The Runaways documentary. It's known that this film, along with other recordings from Sweden, were
supplied to Vicki Blue for the documentary by local fan club members but never returned back to them.
Some sources close to the fan club claimed that it was filmed in Malmö, but comparing the footage to the
photos from the actual show, the stage looks different (mainly the speakers and amplifiers beside Vicki). Another possibility is
the Göta Lejon show, as it was the only
other concert performed in Sweden in 1977...
